I will never forget the labs I did in 6th grade science with my teacher ( her name escapes me atm..she was married to a coach..).
One in particular was "dissecting" Owl Pellets! Remember doing that???
Everyone, including me--{duh}, "Ewwww'd" once we were told what the dried egg shaped pellet in front of each pair of us was...but the teacher assured us they were all sanitized. These guys advertise the same.
Once you ripped it open and started finding the bones, it really was fun. We reconstructed the skeletons of various rodents and glued their tiny bones to black construction paper. It was cool seeing what the owl ate and seeing the different contents of everyone else's dried owl vomit. (had to...)
It was a awesome lesson and no animal had to die for our education. It's great when you can study nature in such a way that doesn't cause any harm.
Ah, memories...hmmm, I all the sudden feel like I need to wash my hands....

It came to me the other day...then I forgot..then I just logged on here and remembered again. That teacher's name was Mrs. McQueen! I *think*....nah, pretty sure....i think.
